INTEREST: The GREAT Red Spot, a massive storm on Jupiter, has been SHRINKING over time. Recent observations have shown that it is now approximately 16,500 kms across, which is SMALLER than its size in the past. In the late 1800s, it was measured at about 41,000 kms across. This significant REDUCTION in size has been occurring over several decades, and scientists are investigating the causes behind this CHANGE.
